President Rouhani:
We appreciate your gas efforts
Speaking on the inauguration of national plans and projects across the country, the President Hassan Rouhani said, “Thank you very much for the great efforts made to supply gas to the villages.”
According to the report of the public relations of the NIGC, Rouhani described gas supply to the cities and villages of the country as a significant step in this government and added, “Today, in addition to being self-sufficient in gas and exporting gas to neighboring countries even in winter, most of the country’s villages are covered by the gas network”.
He mentioned: In the field of gas, the work that has been done in our country is remarkable and today, we are very proud to be self-sufficient in gas and even able to export gas in winter, and most of the villages are covered by gas.
Rouhani continued: In this government, gas supply has been done more than twice as much as before and In fact, we can tell that, at the end of the government, gas supply to the villages will end and its last steps will be taken, with the exception of a few provinces such as Sistan and Baluchestan, which were behind from the beginning, which are not considered in this statistic.
3-fold increase in gas supply to the villages of Kerman province
By saying that “At the beginning of the 11th government, 14,000 villages had gas and with the efforts made, today 32,000 villages benefit from this divine blessing”, Hassan Montazer Torbati, Deputy Minister of Oil and CEO of the NIGC, also noted at this ceremony: Gas supply projects to 4,200 villages are also underway and considering this number of villages, by the end of the 12th government, 35,000 villages will enjoy the divine blessing of gas.
He went on to say that in total, in the 11th and 12th governments, 21,000 villages have been or will be connected to the gas network and mentioned: This means that in the government of prudence and hope, 50 villages are gasified every week.
The Deputy Minister of Oil for Gas Affairs continued his remarks by explaining the costs incurred in gas supply projects and said: Approximately 29 thousand billion tomans are the cost of rural gas supply, while the people have spent about 8 thousand billion tomans for gas piping inside their homes, which has created good employment.
Torbati continued: At the same time, all the products that were used to supply gas to cities and villages were all from domestic industries, which has brought prosperity to domestic industries.
He added: Revenue from replacing gas with petroleum products is 40,000 billion tomans per year and the reason for the strong continuation of urban and rural gas supply projects is because these projects are self-generating and have not imposed any budget on the government.
The CEO of the NIGC stated that carrying gas cylinders is a very difficult task for rural men and women, and specified: During the gas supply to the villages, 5 billion liters of product consumption were prevented. If we want to compare this figure with the gas capsule, which was the most consumed by the household, almost one million capsules were removed from the shoulders of the people every day, which is a considerable figure. It has made the people of cities and villages more prosperous.
Regarding the gas supply projects of Kerman province, Torbati further, said: Today I am talking to you about the city of Shahdad in Kerman, the city of mines and greenhouses; Where people use gas for heat, industry and jobs And with the opening of these new projects; Gas supply to 5 cities, 146 villages and 150 industrial units with a credit of about 350 billion Tomans, we are witnessing more prosperity for the dear Kerman’s people.
